Design and Theming
If you’re a fan of Tomb Raider, you’ll know that the essence of the series lies in the beautiful landscapes, cavern exploration, and the eventual treasure at the end. Triple Edge Studios understands this, which is why you have a 5×4 reel set on a stunning jungle backdrop with what looks like an Aztec pyramid in the middle.
The slots themselves are ruin bricks with different pictures on them to represent each win level. The lowest wins can be found by matching the Aztec carvings, maps, and compass symbols. Stepping up a tier and you’ve got blades Lara, pistol Lara, and a pensive Lara. As well as the different layers for winnings, you have the “Wild” symbols and the shining green gems, which activate the Free Spins and transform the background to a fiery volcano.
While you’re playing the game you will hear soft dramatic music and the sounds of shifting rocks whenever the reels spin. When you land on a win, you’ll hear clinking sounds to signal the transference of gold to the pot. On top of the typical sound effects, you’ll experience a fun cut scene while the stage is changing from the jungle to the volcano.
If you’re a long-term fan of Tomb Raider games who enjoys exploring the latest slots, then this game is more than enough to satisfy your appetite and keep you going until the next main installment of the franchise. There are enough features in this game to engage both newbie and veteran slot players, and the Jackpot system gives this game a unique edge. All in all, Triple Edge Studios have successfully completed the assignment, and we’re excited to see what they come up with next.
